On Saturday, Molly, our beautiful white lab took her last breath on this earth. Her time was up.
I know that her spirit is romping in a place where there is an ocean with big waves crashing down on her and where she can body surf tirelessly. She is in a place where endless balls are tossed her way for her to fetch. Where she can eat to her heart's content – yes, even some table scraps and for sure juicy steak bones. Where the attention is 100% always directed at her. Where she can chase cats, fetch birds, rub herself silly in the sand; where there is a soft bed in which to curl up and nap. Where she has endless toys to chew and destroy and a limitless supply of bully sticks. Where “going outside” happens whenever she wants - to sniff and sniff and sniff. Where there are other dogs with which to romp. Where she can talk with her expressive eyes - and be always understood. And where there are no ticks, no vets, no surgeries, no breast cancer.
Molly blessed our family for 10 short years. She was loved by most - because those who didn't fall for her, well, if they didn't pass the "Molly Test," we knew they weren't our crowd - 'nuff said...We will miss those big brown eyes, her beautiful, smiling cow-like face, that constant wag, her absolute sweetness. She was a beautiful dog who taught us about devotion and joy even in the face of adversity. She was the perfect family dog - definitely our Wonder Dog!
Romp in peace, Molly-Moo. Irreplaceable in our hearts, you will be remembered and loved forever.
